When asked by Isabel’s Voice (2019), 67 out of 127 Local Authorities did not know how many of their young people had their emotional health assessed by a registered medical practitioner as they entered their care.
When asked by Isabel’s Voice (2019), 72 out of 127 Local Authorities did not know how many of their CIC/Care Leavers had a written report of their emotional health as they entered their care.
Of the 153 local authorities in England, only 127 of them responded to us, the percentages above may be higher.
We are campaigning to enhance the outcomes for Children In Care and Care Leavers.
Support us to challenge Government and Councils, to deliver what these young people are entitled to, see our Call to Action below.
IMPACT- Isabel’s Voice want to make local authority services for Children in Care (CIC) transparent, to hold them to account. We want to know how many CIC: have an emotional or mental health condition; leave care with trauma or attachment conditions, and how many do not meet the threshold for a therapeutic intervention.
